Tate’s first full CG trailer for their upcoming landmark Turner exhibition

Rokabye were appointed by Tate to produce a trailer that showcased Turner’s masterpieces while introducing them into the digital age. The film was intended to capture a modern imagination, while paying homage to Turner’s genius.

Tumultuous change

Some of Turner’s most famous paintings were used as the foundation for a world filled with texture, depicting scenes of industrial revolution, war, activism and the huge social change that Turner witnessed during his lifetime.

Throughout, the integrity of Turner’s work was key. It was at the heart of the trailer’s subject matter, textures and tone.

A fresh take on an icon

The trailer brings a new dimension to the way that the viewing public sees and understands how Turner painted, echoing the exhibition’s exciting new take on Turner’s art and his times.
